Alabama Re-Leaf
is a charitable program designed to help plant trees across the state to clean the air, mitigate flooding and beautify communities.
For every $2.00 donated,
the AUFA will plant or give a tree for planting to individuals and organizations.
Many of the trees are grown by school
children at Oak Mountain Middle School's Learn and Serve Nursery and Better Basics Hope Centers in Fairfield, Alabama. See
www.betterbasics.org.
With the help of Alagasco, Alabama
Power, US Forest Service, USDA Specialty Crops, Alabama Cooperative Extension System, Alabama Department of Agriculture and
Industries, Alabama Green Industry Training Center, www.agitc.org, and many individual, association and corporate donors, over 10,000 trees have been planted throughout
the state in the past few years.
